A resort city due north of Bal Harbour (they are separated by the undeveloped Haulover Beach and Haulover Park), Sunny Isles Beach is very much a product of the new millennium. Occupying a long sliver of a barrier island, the city is less than two square miles, yet boasts a string of prestigious oceanfront skyscrapers.
